03 Nov 11 : More music design.Hello Hello! I’ve just finished off some design for the extremely talented Calaca Strides (http://www.calacastrides.com/), He’s just finished off his first recording in the form of the EP “Quiet Haunt” which is well worth a listen and download through his site. I’ve been lucky enough to work on the EP cover along with the first music video which have both been added to the Music design section of iamunknown.com. I’m really happy with the way both turned out, moving image is something I’ve been hankering to experiment with for some time and now I’ve had a taster I’m hoping to work out what my D7000 can do for me in the form of video… watch this space. I’ve a few more projects bubbling away at the moment in the form of web and some other odds and ends as well which with any luck will be up and running and on the site by the end of the year. I’m looking to pick up the paintbrushes at the start of 2012 and do some more of the rust experiments I started a year or so ago to see where that takes me. Exciting times indeed… Keep popping back and I’ll do my best to furnish you with some more creative projects. Till then, take care Neil 03 Oct 11 : New work up on the site. Some new work’s up on the site. I’ve added the new branding and album artwork I’ve had the pleasure of working on for Kaon Flux, The E.P. can be heard over at Behance click here to hear it in all it’s glory. A great debut for the artist and the label Poison Drum records. I’ve also added some of the photography work that’s been brewing for the last 18 months - 2 years. I’ve been working a little more with some of my landscape photography and these are the results. Click on the experiments link on the left and let me know what you think. I’m always keen to hear feedback, I’m really happy with how some of these have come out. Be interested to know what you thought. There’s a tad more work I’ll be adding in the not too distant future with any luck. I’m going to venture back into some of the cultivated rust studies I had started a few years back and see what that produces. Along with some more illustrative work. I still have prints available on Society6.com click here to view the current selection. More soon Neil :) 09 Sept 11 : Progress is sometimes a slow thing.Thought it about time for an update on things. I’ve been busy for the last few months as always seems to be the case. Some projects I’ve been working on have been taking longer than I had perceived due to various issues beyond my control. Life seems to be getting in the way for me to work on my personal ventures, seems to be the run of things this year with plenty ups and downs that have headed my way. I’ve a few illustrations in various states of completeness… I sneaked a new illustration onto the site following the balloon flow of some of my past work. This is a style I’ve been exploring more of late with my personal work. I’m planning getting stuck into some painting again before the year is out. I’ve a couple of sites that are close to completion and are just awaiting some content and I’m finalising some new branding and album artwork for a fresh new digital act, I shall post this work up as soon as it’s been completed and I’ve had the approval to release it to the world. I’ve a stack of new photography I’ve been working on too, This is on my flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/8121558@N04/) stream but yet to be added to the site. I’ve been experimenting with some of my landscape and other photography over the last few months to develop some strong styles and approaches to my images. Head over and have a looksie. I’ve teamed up with my close friend Rick Dickinson again to work on a new photographic experimentation project which from the initial testing phases is looking like it’s going to blossom into some really exciting results. That’s all for now, updates as soon as these sites I’m working on and other projects are finished… 06 July 11 : Finally, some prints!I’ve finally got round to sorting out some prints for sale online. I intended to source some limited runs personally but due to time constraints and other matter at the moment joining a site that specialises in printing fine art prints seemed like the way to go. I’ve a page on society6 (http://society6.com/neilwarburton) where you can buy a selection of prints… I will be adding to this some time in the not too distant future, I have a selection of unfinished illustrations that I intend to use as prints. Thanks for all the great feedback and to all that have taken an interest in the site and my work over the last few months, it’s been rather humbling… some of my work has appeared on some of my favorite surfing sites of late… exciting times indeed. Cheers Neil 08 June 11 : Art prints and projectsDue to some unforeseen circumstances I have yet to finalise the print work for sale on the site. I have had a few emails from people enquiring as to when prints will be available. Apologies for the delay for those waiting, though I have no solid date yet I do have a list of people and will contact you when I have more information. I’ve two new website designs under way for an artistic duo and a photographer, these will be on the site as soon as they are finished and ready for your viewing pleasure. I’ve been expanding some of my code tinkering and learning a few new things to give them a little something different. I shall update the site soon, there just isn’t enough time in the day to get everything done sometimes… Please bear with me. Neil 10 May 11 : Prints available soonDue to the overwhelming demand for some of my work to make it to print form for sale I am currently sorting a very limited run of the Passing of Time and Tunnel Series of my illustration work. Either check back in a week or so or email me for updates. I am working on a number of new prints which I’m hoping will be available soon, I’m upto my eyeballs in work at the moment so slotting some new work in as I do it will be tricky. Think it would be good for the soul to get some fresh illustration work out of my system and the initial ideas are slowly pulling together nicely. 15 apr 11 : Hello WorldCrikey! I’ve had a massive influx of folk visiting the site over the last week or so, from far flung countries. I’m hoping everyone is liking what they see, it’s pretty overwhelming stuff. I’m hoping on getting some new projects up on here soon, I’m polishing some artwork for a great new album at present along with a few sites and branding projects. When the mountain of immediate work is done and dusted I’ll be starting some limited print runs of some of my illustration work as I’ve had nothing but positive feedback on some of my illustration work from the past few years. I’ve another tunnel series piece in mind too which I’m really excited about. Pop back soon and hopefully there will be more new works posted up. Thanks to all who have visited the site old and new visitors, it’s really inspiring me to push my work further than before. Neil 5 apr 11 : Malware UpdateSince replacing the pages on the site this seems to have removed any of the code nasties that appeared on the site. Seems like after reading the media the last week a fair few sites fell to the clutches of the malware of doom. You rest assured the site is safe to browse, I’m testing the site daily at the moment with a scanner to make sure it’s malware free.
